Wow, Carmen!!! Good job, indeed! Just one question/clarification though--(I've only scanned this, so will hope to view your work in greater detail later)--Why did you not give the reference to the Spiritual Abuse forum and ITS resources here rather than the more general NACR. Your comment:

The National Association for Christian Recovery
"Resources for Christians recovering from addiction, abuse or trauma." With Library, daily meditations, links and articles.

True...and may be helpful in general, but the purpose of this forum is specifically to address the spiritual abuse concerns and it has its own library. (Or did I miss this in reading too hastily? If so, you might want to include some sort of comment about the history/link between the two sites, eg. NACR might be regarded as a sort of "parent" forum to the Spiritual Abuse forum which grew out of a need to have an area specifically devoted to this topic, with its own forum moderator (i.e. Jeff V.) I've not checked for this recently, but there HAD been a fairly good listing there too of links to resources for those needing help in this area.

OK....back into the "lurking" modality! (I've been trying to take a break here recently, since my health is in a particularly "challenging" state and my insomnia is really bad. I've found it doesn't help matters to be meditating on such things as spiritual abuse and wondering about all you dear people here! ;) :D )

BUT... your post inspired me....and I also hope to follow suit on NACR shortly with some books etc. I've found helpful in other areas, e.g. co-dependency, dealing with depression, etc.

So now, "with miles to go before I sleep...." TONIGHT I'm going to try to get to sleep ANYWAY and trust it will all be there tomorrow for me to tackle when/as I can.

Blessings to you and yours this day....and keep up the good work. REALLY good job on this bibliography!!!

Hi Theodora,

I already told the Admin that I did not include a direct link to the forum because I post here. A while back, I was stalked by, I think, the person that SA'd me at Christian Forums. If it wasn't him it was his twin. I don't want people like that following me here. Plus, the nature of my site does cause some protest. For some I am too liberal, for others too conservative, "Don't touch God's anointed" and "Don't criticize", "Don't gossip" (I don't on my site) are favorite slogans. Some don't like it that a bit of politics is on the site.....You can't please everybody and I don't try, either.

Ok, I am including a link to Christian Recovery International, but not directly to this forum. It really would not do if my abuser found me here. He or his twin wreaked havoc at CF. I don't know how many he pissed off until they kicked him out. You could follow his trail and find deletion after deletion by the mods. In a minute I will upload again and if you follow some links you will eventually arrive at this forum. When at CF and processing e-mail for my site, I do give out the address to this forum directly, if someone seems to need it, but I always caution them to pass it out carefully, to prevent wolves from coming here. I thought I could face that guy at CF, but in the end it sent me into a panic. Would not like it to happen again. Don't know if I'm ready for that yet, and it wouldn't be fair to people here to have to meet such a nasty person. Well, I'm starting to get on that hobby horse again, better stop here.

GREEEEEAT JOB CARMEN!

What a valuable service you have provided. I have already passed it on to another list I've been on since 1996. A lot of savy people there. I've met a number of them over the years.

Excelente Sra, bravo. trabajo bueno

Only one correction. AFF has been renamed International Cultic Studies Association or ICSA. I have been to Refocus and I am familiar with AFF. Also in future revisions, one can include Bill and Lorna Goldberg. Lorna is a soft spoken comforting lady. Bill has a an effectious sharp wit and keen sense of what is happening in the land of cultendom.

Excellent job. It is in my bookmarks. A+ all the way. I am impressed.
