Hi:
Have you ever looked at the member list? I just did and was a bit surprised.
There are 14 pages of members
If there are on average 27 names per page, 13 full pages
9 listings on page 14
We have 3150 members of this forum
Two (Jerry and Kerrin) have each posted well over 1000 messages. They are both very prolific writers.
Happy Sunday!

You and I seemed to have been on a similar "tack" today. However, using the information from the bottom of the screen, I just posted my own bit of trivia today, e.g.--
Forum statistics....

...are a bit amazing! Since this software was implemented slightly more than a year ago, the current record now indicates:
Threads: 2,707, Posts: 17,280, Members: 509 (And THAT, of course, doesn't include the number of guests who seem to be increasing in number as well. I hope what is found here is helpful/encouraging!)
So.....not sure how that "tallies" with your conclusion, but...however you look at it, it's still a healthy number of people who are "here." "Cool," eh???
As for Jerry's and Kerrin's posts.....well....isn't that "cool," too!???! So happy they're here and so prompt to interact as they can. Rather amazing to think that I've probably glanced at most of those posts, as well as others. (Think maybe I need to "get a life?" Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh! LOL! )
In any case...more of my thoughts of the morning:
Wow!
So....if we sometimes seem a bit distracted or "inattentive" or whatever and haven't done a good job of welcoming all, perhaps there are reasons for this. These forums do seem to be increasingly active. YEA!!!
In any case, FWIW..."for what it's worth," I just wanted to welcome any newcomers here and encourage you to post when/as you feel comfortable doing so, using clear subject headings. In my experience here....c. 8 years now...and even I find that hard to believe!!!...that has been a real help in facilitating communication. If someone's posts piques your interest, you can do a search on his/her name to find previous posts in the archives. Sometimes the "reply" feature may seem the best way to continue a "conversation"....but if you're including much personal experience in that response, you might find more response to YOUR response... ... if you post a new thread and give a reference (and possible URL to the old thread.)
Just some thoughts of the morning! As a relatively un-"techie" sort, I'm still learning how things work, but I just wanted to encourage you to post out of your own "experience, strength and hope" as you feel comfortable doing so. And...for you "old-timers"---you know who you are!---know that I'm thinking of you too and hope that you'll find the time and inclination to update us when you can.
Glad you're here, Doug! It was good to "see" you today.

Hi Theodora and Willow:
There are definitely more 'readers' than posters. I'm guessing some may have joined but maybe have yet to return. I know I have done that - signed up someplace but forgot to return for some period of time.
Anyway, this is a busy forum and I tend to read more than I post. We are pretty busy with grand kids and other interests that all vie for time.
Happy Monday!
Doug
