Agreed to meet Amy 's parents and her friend , and their unattached male friend for dinner!!!
( the single dad they've been trying to set me up with for a while!)
Amy commented he kept " looking at me" , and I "talked more!". which she said," I don't 'like' the way this is going" :D
(is that possible! Me talk more??? :rolleyes:
Well , who should be in the restaurant but a 'warden' and his wife from my old church!!!!!!!!!!! :eek:
I know gossip will abound now., I can hardly wait......poor backslidden Kerrin and Amy , well ,what a disgrace is her mother as an example!!"......me and the 'friend 'being there, seated at our table as the obvious singles!!
Don't care though 'cos I'm beginning to find him interesting and we both bought the same bottle of wine , and he said ,"great minds think alike and, had I chosen it because of the region and winery it was made??" :)
Anyway , ex church friends , (this is one of the men who abused me and propositioned me!!!), were all polite and "how you doing, you look great......"
I said "yes I am great and yes I do look good don't i??"
They looked surprised as wife started to say how "things are not as good as they should be....."
I just said a polite goodbye and joined my table, and wished I could've tripped him up or kicked him in the the shins!! :rolleyes: :eek:
Explained to friends , who are not christian, those people are an example of why the church has a bad name! It's not Church , it's the people!!" :( :confused:
They agreed!
All in all a good night; good food, good conversation and a GOOD chance to show the leadership of my old church , Amy and I are so much better off without THEM!!!
Another day, I didn't make it to Church , but He showed Himself to me in a very personal way.
One day I will find the :o right FTF Church!!!
at the moment my fellowship is you guys , so I can't tell you all how much I love and appreciate you ; you really are my 'family'! ;)
