For the first time in months I went to church and I miss my livelier church but I like the laid back "feeling" that was in the church I attended yesterday. I can't see myself sticking it out in this church but I don't want to throw it out just because of my idea of what would be my ideal place to attend.

The sermon was actually a presentation by a guy who does mission work on college campuses and I was very sleepy during the presentation but what I did catch, I felt was worth listening to.

I am very concerned that I will start this church and then up and leave and I will hurt people that welcomed me in. I know I can't take responsiblity for other people's actions but I can take it for my own.

Just letting things off my mind and putting it out to the forum...

I went to the scary church but managed to get out the door with my wallet intact. All they do is ask for money, and try tomake you feel like you are not doing the right thing by God if you don't give it to them. Yuk Yuk Yuk. I don;t think I will ever get over this yukky feeling that what they do is evil. Great worship, glitzy as, but I could feel no substance. HELP!

I don't go anymore, period, unless maybe a sort-of friend is performing or teaching. I agree that too many of them are seriously out to do evil and nothing else. You have my prayers that you will be able to find that rare gem of a congregation that actually practices what it teaches. Hang in there! :o
