I just wanted to let you know as the news has unfolded throughout our day about (not-so-nice), "Katrina", we are praying for you all.

What does one say?
It's just devastating!!!
Mother Nature in all her rage I guess.........

We have had unseasonably high "gusty" winds , (up to 100 km/ hr), in Melbourne today and tomorrow, and It makes me think of those suffering over there right now............ :(

*Sigh* I know it sounds dumb, but as I drove to work , with the wind so strong, and listening to the radio about what damage "Katrina" is doing with the loss of life etc...; I wondered "why is God so angry?"

Just really "feel" for you guys.........we do know what it's like.
Love and Blessings and lots of prayers,
Your Aussie Sister
Kerrin :o

Hi:

I suppose there are two ways to look at something like the devastation by "Katrina."

It may be a 'natural disaster' perhaps brought about by the actions of different nations which have altered the atmosphere (think nuclear weapons.)

Or, it could be a direct act of God in an attempt to wake up a country or the world to the need to change their ways.

Whether it's one or the other, it makes us realize how insignificant we are and how great God is.

Prayers are appreciated I'm sure; we are far enough inland (Kansas) that we won't feel much if any effect from "Katrina."

With the internet, my wife has brought New Orleans home by watching the feeds from WWL. I have too much data at work, so I have to turn off the feed when I get home. Billy Murray and the Peerless Quartet are about my speed [78rpm] when I get home.
