Do you all remember when I was talking about applying for that state job working in the hospital with children that have mental health issues?


Well, on Friday, while I was away; I GOT A CALL FOR AN INTERVIEW!!!


Yay!

and I feel so afraid, I have been out of the workplace for 5 YEARS!!!!!
I think I am going to use my son's special needs for the reason that I left because employers around here don't like it when women come home to take care of their children and then try to return.....


anyway, please pray guys. I would love this job. It is only part time on the weekends so I can still meet the needs of my home life- and the salary is $25 hour with state employee benefits. Just the little bit more that we need to get the stuff we need for my son's disability- my older child's senior year in high school needs and maybe have a few dollars left to finish the work on our home.

9:45 on Thursday morning. It sounds like they have a lot of candidates lined up. I can't believe how nervous I am, I used to LOVE interviews. Now I feel insecure, I don't recall ever feeling this insecure.

It's obvious that you have a heart for children who are mentally challenged Jane. If you show that heart in the interview, along with your great qualifications - I'm sure you will land the gig.

I had a panel interview on Friday (3 people staring at me ,taking it in turns to ask questions, throw scenario's at me etc, each jotting down a "score" out of 10 ;I believe!). :eek:

I had already been interviewed for this job once before, called back ,and a phone discussion as well, so I was "shaking" by the time I got there on Friday.
I sat in the car, took a few deep breaths, prayed really hard that if this was God's will, then HE would give me the right words , the right attitude etc...and that "they" would "see' me through HIS eyes!!
I prayed I would be brave enough to ask for my employment terms , NEVER dreaming I would get it!!

Well I did.
With ALL my requests , including a bigger salary.
So, trust Him, this time, REALLY trust HIM!! ;)
And , of course get your prayer 'warriors' mobile!! ;)
