MANY wonderful/intriguing titles in there, some of which I have either read as well or at least have heard of! "Progress, not perfection," right???! ;) :D

And as for your wife's (silly) comment about not needing more books for your birthday, "obviously" she doesn't recognize a true THIRST when she sees it, right?
You remind me of Tevya in "Fiddler on the Roof..." e.g. "If I were a rich man....." which includes comments about discussing issues with the "learned men" and sitting in the synagogue to pray. Believe me, I DO understand this drive to synthesize, absorb, MAKE SENSE OF what others are saying and to find my own thoughts in the midst of all of that. It's frustrating....but also highly "energizing!"
Good luck with your continued preparation for the fall class. I'm sure that it will be WONDERFUL and, if people are silly enough not to take advantage of that, that will be THEIR loss!!!
