All best wishes for a good performance. From what you've shared here, it sounds like a WONDERFUL program and that you are well-prepared.

Try not to worry about how this is being "received," especially in terms of the financial rewards you're getting for this. The more you project joy in what you do, I'm guessing the better your response will be.....or so I would hope!

I don't know if you happen to catch part of my response to a thread started by Magicbear on NACR, but my father trained in voice in Paris after graduating from college in Ks. and then met my mother when they were both on the stage in New York. They married in 1931---in the middle of the Depression---translate that into your present experience and you can probably guess that they had things rather rough on the vaudeville etc. circuit.....so....by extension, know that I can empathize at least in part with the uncertainty you must feel about earning your living this way. (I'm not sure at the moment how much I DID share on NACR about this history, but, if interested, something more about my own history was posted in the threads begun by Magicbear, as referenced below.)

Hang in there! May you earn your "financial" as WELL as your artistic reward in performance!!!

:)

Prayers continue...!

Theodora

P.S. If interested, Magicbear's original post re reading "Soul Space" was at http://www.christianrecovery.com/vb/showthread.php?t=1990. His further post re another book he'd read (and discussed in a men's group in church), e.g. "Wild at Heart" was posted at http://www.christianrecovery.com/vb/showthread.php?t=2022 I did a follow-up post re the specifics of the latter, and posted that at http://www.christianrecovery.com/vb/showthread.php?t=2028 Something more about my father and our rather complicated relationship was included in the last thread, with a few additional comments in the earlier threads.
