Thanks Melanie and "Mr. Congeniality"--i.e. Jerry-- for responding to what Jerry called my "Perils of Pauline" post. ;)
Just now up from a nap and, having used some "Bio-freeze" on the back after seeing my chiropractor, I'm happy to report that it IS feeling better. YEA!!!
In the process of re-ordering priorities of the week, however, in terms of what I can practically get done without OVER-doing...as best I can determine this!!! And yes, Jerry...it would be fun if you COULD be at this big Event in our lives. I've no doubt you WOULD witness some tears---but I've heard it's really OK (and even "expected"?" to cry at weddings---?? ;) ) but.... thanks be to God, I'm NOT really "falling apart" YET!!!
I talked to the Marines this a.m. and they're going to look into having a couple of recruits help us clean up/restore order at the church fellowship hall after the "Open House" before the wedding. (We've offered as a paid job, thinking that this would help not to over-burden the somewhat "older" people of the UMW. Yes, they HAVE done this without "outside" help in the past, but I ALSO know how fatiguing things are when an event goes on for a while AND into the evening. ) Our son had checked with them previously and gotten the preliminary go-ahead, so I was just following up with details. Just exploring our options...!!!
So now...on with the afternoon "agenda" as best I can, sorting out the paper goods etc. to be used for the Open House AND, perhaps, beginning work on the fourth photo display board to be used at the Open House and then the reception, i.e. pictures of the bride's wedding shower. (For newcomers here, I had created 2 photo boards of the happy couple and 1 using our son's Marine photos for the bride's shower earlier this summer.)
So....
Thanks to those who may be keeping us all in prayer during this "interesting" time in our lives....much needed!
Grace and peace to you all. Hope you're having a good day and will have a good week.
