Just wanted to tell you that I've read your a.m. posts and am so thankful that your blood sugar did come down. I do hope you'll get that checked out tomorrow, however!! That's SO complicated and, as you've noted, it does do such radical things to EVERYTHING else when your blood level is out of whack.
Will be thinking about your church/faith-related question. I'm guessing that many of us have wondered about such things as to how "forgiven" we REALLY are and therefore how "SAVED" we are.....BUT, for me at least, it's a day by day sort of thing, with the confirmation of God's love coming AS I NEED IT....when I least expect it....perhaps, for example, in the following experience:
I'm just now back from a beautiful service at "our" Methodist church, including the special treat of having music from a visiting bell choir from another (LARGE) Methodist church. Anyway, our Marine son and his bride DID meet us there AND, they were there in time to get re-introduced/introduced to some of the church "folk". Then, my son drove me home since my husband had to go on to work this afternoon and I suggested that my son say hello to one of our neighbors who has been supportive. SO THEN...THAT "opened the door"...as it were...for my new daughter-in-law and me to have more conversation than EVER before!!! YEA!!! :D
Anyway....please don't allow your struggles and your current bad feelings to determine your view of how GOD sees you!!! You might have seen the bumper sticker some years back which said something like "I'm OK because God don't make no junk!"
I really do believe that God DOES understand our struggles, and how much it hurts when our good intentions seem to weigh far less than what we actually DO do. (And shades of St. Paul, right???!?!) You've been in the midst of VERY hard times, but I do think too that there may be more "light" just around the corner than you know. FWIW..I also think that God CAN handle our anger---just look at the complaints you find in the Psalms---only to have that resolved and renewed expressions of faith and praise in practically the next breath!
In any case, I hope you'll have a good afternoon and a good rest and that the sun will be shining for you, as it is for us here!
Thanks for keeping us posted about how things are going. I was SO very sorry about your disappointment on Friday and so concerned about you yesterday. So then, TODAY, it is truly wonderful to begin to hear that things are somewhat better for you and that you ARE beginning again to think things through.
