Hi everyone,
I don't know if you remember me. I'm having a bad day (Sunday's usually are) and today is worse due to other reasons.
I hope you won't mind if I occasionally hide out here.
Weak,
Shoe
Oops, second post here and already I'm editing out typos, not a good sign.

Good morning Worn!
I remember your posts from the other forum but I dont' believe we met. I am glad you came online. I don't like Sunday's either. It has been a year since I have been in a church and every Sunday I have a problem.
SO glad you stopped in and your hanging around.

Yes, I remember your name---distinctive!!!---though I'm sorry I can't remember much of your story at the moment. I'm glad you're here and hope you'll feel supported and comfortable being on the forum. (I'm still figuring out how to use the new software here, but am making at least some progress! So...hope you won't be deterred by this change in the format either. At least you've been able to log on! THAT in itself was a major problem for me initially, which our forum administrator eventually solved FOR me!!!)
Anyway--I'm so sorry that you're having a bad day and will certainly be keeping you in prayer.
If you want to do a search on "Theodora" you can catch up with some of the major "stressors" in my life right now. BUSY week ahead....though one which we trust will be filled with blessed and memorable moments as well.
My husband and I are about to leave to go to "our" Methodist church, where we are to meet our younger son, now a Marine...who just last night flew home to meet his bride. (She is to be there too...reluctantly, as I've gathered, but she has consented to come, I guess. I am thankful for that.)
They are to have a renewal of their wedding vows at this church this coming Saturday and I'm also working on having a kind of "Open House" for out-of-town guests etc. at the church before the wedding. (The families haven't had a chance to even meet for the most part, so I was hoping this would help to "break the ice." ) THEN, after the 6 p.m. wedding, there will be a reception at a country club, with cake and punch and a cash bar. My son and new daughter-in-law have arranged for all of that.....the curious thing is that I don't really know how much involvement the bride's family is having in all of this.
Complicated, difficult, "challenging" times.....but what a joy to think that I'll at least have a glimpse of our son shortly!!!
Your prayers appreciated that everything go as "smoothly" as possible and that my back/hips which have begun some major "protests" about recent activity hold up through all of this. Unexpectedly, I was having some major spasm pain this a.m. NOT a good way to start the day!!!
Grace and peace to you and yours this day. You will be in my prayers--
Theodora

Hi, (((Worn))), and yeah, some days are REALLY hard. But we have to appear all "together" and "cool" when instaed we'd really like to be able to go around in sackcloth and ashes and *not* be put away in the loony bin for doing so!
If you have a chance to get outside, maybe a smile will come as you watch two squirrels chasing each other up and down trees! Or a bird chasing after a bug! ... or maybe just seeing the quite hope evidenced by all of nature just keeping on with it nature thing....
Hang in there. You are not alone. :o

Hey everyone and thanks for the welcome.
This format is very comfortable for me, I have my own message board with a similar format. To be honest, the old board drove me nuts.
I've currently got a headache. This has been an unusually trying week and right now the screen is making my eyes water.
I wish you all the best with this new board and will check in every now and then to see how everyone's doing (as well as maybe, every so often, making a "deposit" of my own.)
Ever grateful for God's unconditional love,
Shoe

Hey Shoe, I see you posted a suggestion to Administration...
So you have 5 forums? WOW ? Are they all Christian?
Are you into music? I know music gives me a headache and I see you are suffering from one.
Well, I hope your head will be okay. I just wanted to post to you.
Bless you as you work on your recovery.
