Update

Pastor is home. He is black & blue & stitched everywhere! They had to take veins from his arms because they couldn't they couldn't use the ones from his legs. It will be a long, slow recovery but, he's home.

My friend in the mental ward came home for one day and went back in the next. I used to talk to her daily and we would have lunch sometimes or just hang out. I miss that and her so much! I've talked to her twice on the phone, and I got to see her once.

Our friends who are struggling with divorce after 22 yrs. are still struggling. The wife (who I thought was my friend also) won't even talk to me! I think she's wrong in the situation and I told her so, so now I'm the bad guy. Another so called "friend" who has kicked me to the curb!

Still not handeling any of this very well. Have fought with hubby twice in the last 2 weeks. MAJOR FIGHTS! In the first one I was getting dinner on the table, picked up the cutting board that the meat was on and threw it at him. A large butcher knife was on the cutting board and it slid off and punctured my hand. Missed a vein by mms.

In the second one, we were arguing about something and he said, "if you don't like it then leave" sooooo I left and spent the night in a motel.

People would say to me ,things like "He will only give you enough ........He knows what YOU can stand, and He will not allow you to bear more than you can handle...." ,and other equally stupid platitudes! :mad:

Intellectually ,and in the eye of the storm those words mean nothing!!
So, I don't want to do that to you!
For me, that was just further abuse!! ( Lack of acknowledging your distress and what your "real" needs are. Especially when no-one knows, (or needs to know), what else is going on in your life!

Sooo glad to hear from you. Yeh, life really sucks some times. You wonder if it will ever get better. Please believe me, It will. I've almost literally put a gun to my head when I felt it was all over. I hung on a little longer and cryed and payed my heart out for the next several months. I connected to God in ways that would not have been possible unless I suffered all that pain. HE knows what we are going through and when we really connect with Him, the real peace comes. Sometimes, it's real hard work but He's always there when there is no one else to turn to.

Please get some help for yourself. I remember once when I came onto this forum and admitted my struggles with drugs and alcohol, and Jerry told me to get into a support group or a rehab asap. I did, and it helped me a lot. Things will never get better until you begin to take care of yourself.

You know I care about you Janice. You need to begin caring about yourself. You're worth it.
