Could contain triggers for some I guess

Hi,

I think I'll go finish watching the movie "My Favorite Brunette" starring Bob Hope and Dorothy Lamour with Peter Lorre and Lon Chaney, Jr. I'm tired of trying so hard to think right and feel better. I'm just going to wait on God.

I wish there was a nice church where we can celebrate Easter. There probably is one somewhere. The last time we went to church was in January. This place had a new pastor that my husband had heard earlier while visiting that church. The pastor was really positive and my husband was encouraged, so we tried the place again. Anyway, the pastor in this January sermon was sharing how he gave up reading the sports page because it had become an idol. He was declaring that some people liked certain things too much and that made them not worship on Sunday how they should (with joy *he* could see I suppose )- - their hearts were far from God he claimed. He mentioned different hobbies etc. If someone got up in the morning and all they could think of was their fishing trip they were going on, then fishing was an idol. Then at the end of his sermon he added a little side note that it was okay to do those activities he had mentioned. He seemed kinda angry when he mentioned quilting earlier, though. I believe in putting God first in my life but I already analyze myself too much. I'm not going to analyze my emotions.

I wish I felt good enough to wake up in the morning and with excitement look forward to some activity that day. I would thank God for the gift of enjoying life.

Dear Lavendre,,,
This guy sounds more like a "Nut Case" than a Pastor ;) Just my opinion...
