This is so true for me. I have lashed out at so many people over the past several years - like a wounded animal that can't tell the difference between an abusive master and a loving caretaker.
I hope that I am learning to pause . . . to ponder . . . to think carefully . . . to respond in a way that is life-giving and healing rather than reacting instinctively in a way that is brutally wounding.
What if every time someone shared on this forum, they were responded to only with positive, encouraging comments? What if when someone shares a triggering scripture or catch-phrase, those who are upset by that would simply click to another post or say something like, "I'm glad you feel safe enough here to share that." No judgement. . . no finger-pointing . . . just grace and acceptance . . .
I want to make a commitment that no matter what is said here, I will not take my own pain and anger and lash out at others . . . I want to be a safe place . . . a life-giver . . . a healer . . .
