I did not mean to mis quote you, I have not figured out how to quote the way everyone else is, I just went by how I remembered the post. I am sorry it upset you.

I really was not meaning to sound like I was judging or criticizing in any way. Forums are a totally new thing to me and the one thing that I am learning is that things don't necessarily get communicated in the way one means because the body language is missing from the words. I was honestly trying to understand what you mean.

What you are doing appears different to me than my son's friend. You have chosen to be in the church you are in and are fine with it. My son's friend says he is fine with his words but if you could see his face and hear his tone when he talks about this.

After writting about it here, I asked my husband about that boy because he was with me. His interpretation of that day was also that the boy is seriously hurting; defensive and stuck in unhealthy patterns. So when I was reading what you said, with out your background story, it just seemed similar to me.
