We're home. Yes it was very exhausting emotionally & physically but, hubby's prayers were answered and he DID get to see her. Definately was not the same Aunt he saw last time but, cancer patients never are. Unfortunately I've seen too many people in this condition for my liking but, this trip was not about me.
When I was with her she managed to mumble out the words, "This is so hard" and, started crying. I wanted so badly to tell her, "well stop fighting then" but, that was not my place so I just wiped her tears and told her I understood.
Finished my pills yesterday morning at 4 am. Trying not to think about them.
I will probably go into work today for a little while. My desk is probably piled high with stuff as I have not been there since last Wed. I had a job interview at a local grocery store last Tues. and I think I am hired. Just waiting on the drug test results. They said as long as the meds they find in my system are prescription meds (and they definately WILL find them) that I should be ok. So that will be 2 jobs that I'll have & being that busy can only be a good thing for me.
