This morning I increased my mood stabilizer by half, as per my psych's direction. When I first started on the drug, Lamictal, it elevated my heart rate. So we dropped the dosage down and it seemed to still do the job even though that took it to a very low dose. Now that I've increased it, I'm feeling my heart rate racing a bit again. Part stress, but I think it may also partly be the meds. I'll try it again tomorrow and reduce my caffeine intake. I'd really hate to have to try yet another drug, especially when this one has worked pretty well for most of the year, with no side effects at the previous dosage. Oh well.
In His Grace,

....that I have been reading your messages and will be keeping you and yours in prayer as requested.
I'm thankful that you DO have some medication which has helped you before and will be praying that the side effects can be managed.
I'm also thankful to learn of your recent positive experience in church/with the special pastor. I will be lifting you in prayer as you continue to pray for direction in this matter.
"When I have time...." ;) .... I will try to post more about our situation in the churchES. Suffice it to say that it is "somewhat"/VERY "complicated" and I need direction here too, so your prayers would be appreciated for this as well. I THINK that I/we are doing what we "should" do in the present circumstances, but this is all still quite painful.
I really love Thomas Merton's prayer which I posted on the "old" forum---was that just last WEEK??!?-- which begins "My Lord God I have no idea where I am going...!"
(((Michael)))--- I'm guessing that you could identify with that sentiment too, BUT, join me in trusting, as did Merton, that God will still lead us in the right path as we seek to follow him, "though I may know nothing about it," says Merton.
HUMBLING, isn't it??? But....you ARE in his "grip," and, though you're "challenged" on many different fronts, I DO still think that you're on the right path....including knowing where and how to admit your failures.
You have MANY skills/MANY strengths and I will be praying that your wife will be able to take comfort in that, even as you work together toward some sort of new "beginning" together.
Grace and peace, my brother in Christ. You are special.

Michael,
I was wondering how your visit with your psyc went. I saw mine yesterday and expressed my fears about increasing any of my meds. He put me back on the hydrocodone. Same time every year. I'm usually on it from Sept. to January. Hopefully, I will be able to take it as prescribed. I think Ican. Mymindset is alot different this time than it was last year.
I read your other prayer rquest. I will TRY to pray for both of these requests for you but, if I can't pray, then please know I am thinking of you & yours.
