Howdy,

I haven't been a round here much this past month... I see some new names around here as well as number of the old standbyes. I don't know how often I'll get here... but will be peeking in every once and a while...

Jerry, It's February thaw in GR. Maybe spring will get to De Tour before the end of May this year... :D

(((Janice))) (((Willow))) (((Theo))) (((Florence))) (((Everyone else)))

I can say things are going well... We are happy in our new church... I still think of the old one from time to time, but we've been able to go on with life.

I came across this quote from Dallas Willard the other day, and wanted to share it. My concern is that the choice of words he uses may be a trigger or turnoff to some. What struck me specifically was the "harrowing task" phrase. Here is the quote.

"It is one of the major transitions of life to recognize who has taught us, mastered us, and then to evaluate the results in us of their teaching. This is a harrowing task, and sometimes we just can't face it. But it can also open the door to choose other masters, possibly better masters, and one Master above all." (Dallas Willard, The Divine Conspiracy, Chapter 8: On Being a Disciple, or Student of Jesus)

In His joy, Old Ent

(((((Old Ent))))) back!

I've just been lurking here a bit lately - was off to a conference, had a bout with the achy, stuffy head, fever, soar throat stuff, and am entangled in my own wrestlings, so it was good to see that you thought of me.

Like the quote. Please don't stay away so long next time!
