I'm just now back from seeing my "Tues." chiropractor--the one who does physical therapy as well. "Interesting" little complication of the moment is that I stubbed my second toe on my left foot yesterday. It doesn't hurt much, but it is an "interesting" shade of blue/purple....sort of like THIS! --- :( !!! He tested it with a vibrating "stick" which indicated some damage, but probably no breakage. YEA! However....I am to sit and ice it down today.
Who ME? SIT? In THIS time and place?.....
Siiiiiiiiiiiigh!
So much for getting at some "shopping" or whatever today, I guess! However, I dare say that I've got enough going on the home front to keep me occupied!
Will be in touch when I can----especially as I learn how to use this new software. So far, I only know how to log on and post new threads and haven't looked at what I'm supposed to do for modifiying my "profile." I note that Michael had removed the possibility for direct e-mail for himself and wondered whether forum folk automatically have access to the e-mail with which you are required to register, unless that is disabled. If that's the case, for various reasons, I'd probably want to turn off that feature for myself as well.
Thanks to Melanie---I think it was!---for the suggestion to get a Yahoo account. I'd thought of that previously, but haven't had time/energy/incentive to do this in the past. Will think about doing this "later"---i.e. after Oct. 2--the Wedding, or probably MUCH later after my son and his wife leave for California on Oct. 5. I'm guessing that I'll probably need LOTS of "R&R" after that!
Hope you're both doing well. I'll try to catch up on your news and that of others here "later." Right now, I am going back to bed. I've been up since 4 a.m.---though have had a relatively good night's sleep---i.e. RELATIVELY! REALLY tired after such a busy weekend, however AND yesterday's little adventure of typing up my son's guest list (FOUR different sources to get the addresses he needed for that!) AND meeting with my daughter-in-law and two of her bridesmaids (!!--Didn't know they were coming too!) at the church. I thought that it would just be us, but the pastor was there too, so we had a brief overview of the WHOLE wedding possibilities. That's the GOOD news. The bad news---for me---was that this pastor seems to be REALLY "controlling" about all of this---CONSTANTLY "hovered" in the background while I was chatting with my daughter-in-law...or TRYING to!---AND, especially with the two other friends there, I sort of felt like---again---that I must be some sort of "horrible" person who could not be trusted to be alone with this poor child.
Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh! Yea.....I know.....NOT true....and I'm working hard not to let all of this trigger my old issues, but it's still HARD to not just play "second fiddle," but to hardly be in the "orchestra" at ALL, as it seems right now.
Your continuing prayers appreciated. Going off to REST and pray....
Love,
Theodora
P.S. Princess---if you're here---hope your insomnia has improved some. Were you able to check with your doctor about that? AWFUL stuff, isn't it? Hang in there! Prayers for you do continue.
