History: The National Association for Christian Recovery was founded in 1989. It is a membership organization for Christians recovering from addiction, abuse or trauma. .In addition to receiving STEPS (a quarterly publication), members receive discounts on resources purchased from the NACR and discounts on registration fees at sponsored events.
Attitude toward AA and other 12 Step groups: The NACR has no local chapters or groups. We strongly encourage participation in AA and other Twelve Step programs.
Resources Available: Workbooks and Bible study guides written by Dale and Juanita Ryan. Bible studies on the Twelve Steps are available at no charge in the NACR library. Other materials are available in the NACR on-line store.
Events: A semi-annual STEPS conference is held in different parts of the country.
